Explosive Twist: Ganduje Wasn’t Fired – He Walked Away Voluntarily, Says Tinubu’s Ex-Aide
Audu Aliyu, a former Senior Special Assistant on Public Affairs to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, has clarified that the resignation of Abdullahi Ganduje as National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) was a personal decision and not orchestrated by the President.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶
Speaking during an interview on Channels Television’s The Morning Brief on Tuesday, Aliyu stated that Ganduje stepped down of his own volition after recognizing that his relevance within the party had waned.
Aliyu praised Ganduje’s action as an example of accountability and urged others in similar positions to learn from it.
“Giving the President credit for Ganduje’s resignation is like expecting people to thank the President for my own resignation,” Aliyu remarked.
“He wasn’t forced out. Whether for health or other reasons, Ganduje understood his time was up and chose to bow out. That’s a move worthy of respect.”
Aliyu went on to criticize the government’s slow response to the growing humanitarian crisis in Nigeria, particularly the hunger epidemic.
“The nation cannot afford to grow at the President’s pace,” he said.
“According to global statistics, about 25 people die of hunger daily in Nigeria. That’s an alarming and shameful figure. Some of them are aware they won’t make it. That’s where our focus should be—on saving lives.”
He concluded by calling for a governance style rooted in teamwork, merit, and integrity:
“We are a galaxy of stars. One star shining shouldn’t overshadow the others. Every capable person should be allowed to shine and support others. That’s the culture we need to build.”
