Over the weekend, reports circulated on social media indicating that Amaechi expressed regret about his association with the APC. However, Eze has dismissed these reports as misleading and designed to sway public opinion. Eze emphasized that Amaechi has not authorized anyone to speak on his behalf and maintains no regrets about his role in establishing and growing the APC.

Eze, a close associate of Amaechi and former National Publicity Secretary of the defunct New People’s Democratic Party (nPDP), criticized the reports as fabrications. He stated that such falsehoods are aimed at undermining Amaechi’s reputation and misrepresenting his position.

In his statement, Eze denounced the reports as the work of individuals seeking to malign Amaechi, who remains a committed and strategic member of the APC. He asserted that Amaechi’s current silence on political matters should not be misconstrued as regret over his involvement with the APC.

Eze quoted Amaechi as saying, “I did not say that rubbish,” in response to the speculations. He urged those spreading false information to cease their efforts, as Amaechi’s silence does not indicate any regret about his political career or contributions.

Eze further warned against attempts to tarnish Amaechi’s reputation, stating that such efforts are futile and only serve to distract from the positive impacts Amaechi has made in Nigerian politics.
