“I got introduced to drugs at Marlian Music. When I signed to the label, I never embraced the whole Marlian music lifestyle – it was too gangster for me. I’ve met a lot of Yoruba people as friends, but joining Marlian Music introduced me to a different side of the community. There was tribalism within the label,” he said.

Fabian further stated, “I wasn’t allowed to express my creativity freely. All the songs I made there were based on what they wanted, not my own vision. And to top it off, I haven’t received my share of royalties since I left.”
