In a statement signed by the Deputy Director-General for Communication and Public Affairs, O’tega Ogra, the group dismissed the claim, saying it was falsely attributed to one “Albaabu Abudulahi” and deliberately designed to stir religious tension and provoke public outrage.
The Movement firmly stated that Seyi Tinubu never made such statements “at any time, in any place, or through any platform whatsoever,” describing the allegation as completely false, malicious, and dangerous.
It further emphasized that Seyi Tinubu is a man of faith who deeply respects God and upholds the belief that all authority comes from divine will. The group insisted he has never, in any form, insulted or questioned the supremacy of Almighty God.
While reaffirming his political support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s 2027 re-election bid, the statement stressed that such commitment has never come at the expense of his religious convictions.
The group warned that the viral post was a deliberate attempt to damage his reputation and inflame religious sensitivities across the country.
It urged Nigerians of all faiths and political backgrounds to ignore the claim, describing it as a fabricated story aimed at misleading the public and creating unnecessary tension.
