According to him, Nigeria lacks a true reality TV culture, which leaves participants without a clear path to sustain their fame or success.
Taking to Instagram, Adekunle wrote:
“Let me double down and say that BBN is the biggest reality TV show in Africa, but somehow, Nigeria does not have a reality TV culture. There’s almost no certain success path after the show, and most of the reality stars suffer for this.”
His statement sparked mixed reactions online.
Responding to a follower who suggested that housemates should simply return to their regular jobs after the show, Adekunle clarified that many participants never had stable jobs in the first place.
“A lot of the cast didn’t have 9–5s to begin with, which is why they went on the show — to change their story. Only a few had jobs or businesses before they joined. But yes, going back if things don’t work out isn’t such a bad idea,” he added.
