Nollywood actress Etinosa Idemudia has criticized Big Brother Naija star Uriel Oputa over her threat to confront actors who she believes are showing “fake love” to her late uncle, veteran actor Fabian Adibe, who passed away on Wednesday, August 20, 2025, after a brief illness.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶

Uriel had claimed that no one checked on her uncle during his final days and expressed gratitude to the friends who supported him.

Responding on her Instagram page, Etinosa argued that Adibe’s colleagues and fans have every right to express their grief over his death, regardless of whether they visited him while he was ill.

She stressed that posting tributes after a celebrity’s death does not equate to “fake love,” emphasizing that everyone faces personal struggles and challenges.

Etinosa further pointed out that Fabian Adibe himself did not always check on his colleagues when they were well, urging Uriel to allow fans and fellow actors to mourn him without tainting his memory with unnecessary conflict.

She wrote:
“We all have the right to grieve in our own way. But every time a celebrity dies, there’s always someone searching for a fight about ‘Don’t post him, don’t show fake love.’ His colleagues and fans have every right to show sadness over his passing, whether they checked on him or not.

It is not fake love. Everyone has their own challenges, and your uncle didn’t check on anyone either when he was strong. Let’s not soil a great person’s memorial with unnecessary fights or bad energy. Allow people to show love in their own way. Be kind—people you are calling out are also going through life and its challenges. Please accept my sincere condolences, @urielmusicstar.”
