Family Reacts: Ned Nwoko’s Brother Speaks Out On Ongoing Drama With Regina Daniels

Michael Nwoko, the brother of Nigerian lawmaker and billionaire Senator Ned Nwoko, has appealed for privacy amid the ongoing marital crisis between his brother and Nollywood actress Regina Daniels.

Regina had recently appeared in a viral video looking distressed and alleging that she could no longer tolerate the violence in her marriage, while her brother, Sammy West, also accused Senator Nwoko of physically assaulting her.

In response, Ned Nwoko issued a statement on his verified Instagram page, denying the allegations of domestic abuse and claiming instead that Regina’s alleged struggle with drugs and alcohol was the root of their marital troubles.

He further alleged that the actress had, in recent days, become aggressive — attacking three domestic staff and destroying vehicles and household property within 48 hours. Nwoko added that Regina refused to attend rehabilitation programs he arranged for her in Asokoro and abroad, expressing worry for her safety and that of their son.

While some fans have criticized Nwoko’s defense, arguing that drug abuse allegations do not justify domestic violence, Michael Nwoko has urged the public to remain calm and refrain from making hasty judgments.

In a statement shared via his Instagram page, he emphasized that the situation is a private family matter that will be resolved away from public scrutiny.

“I respectfully crave the indulgence of all fans and people of goodwill to be calm and continue to demonstrate understanding, as whatever is happening between Distinguished Senator Prince Ned Munir Nwoko and his dear wife, Mrs. Regina Daniels Nwoko, is a private family matter. It will be resolved internally,” Michael wrote.
