Family Rejoices: Sister Of Kidnapped SAN Rescued Unharmed In Oyo State
Seliat Raji, sibling to Senior Advocate of Nigeria, Ahmed Raji, who was abducted in Iseyin, Iseyin Local Government Area of Oyo State, has regained her freedom. Reports from Naija News indicate that Seliat was released on Tuesday morning after enduring six days in captivity.
Last Thursday night, gunmen invaded her residence, resulting in the tragic death of a security guard who resisted their operation.
The Baale Koso of Iseyinland, Sikiru Adeniji, confirmed Seliat’s release to Punch, stating that she was freed around 2:00 a.m. after a ransom payment. He mentioned that she would undergo a medical examination shortly.
Her husband, Adeniji, confirmed her release, stating, “Yes. They have released her after six days. She spent six days with them. They released her around 2:00 am today. On the ransom, yes but I don’t want to say anything about the ransom. She is currently at home but we will take her to a hospital soon for a medical check-up.”
In other news, recent clashes between troops of the Nigerian Army and terrorists in Kaduna State resulted in the elimination of at least seven terrorists. Soldiers from 1 Division of the Nigerian Army engaged the terrorists during a combat patrol along Udawa – Kurebe Road on May 19, 2024, seizing weapons, motorcycles, and charms during the operation.
