Family Seeks Justice Following Brutal Death Of 22-Year-Old UNIBEN Graduate In Edo

The Adekolure family is grieving following the tragic death of their daughter, Idowu Glory, whose body was discovered near their home. Glory, a recent graduate of the University of Benin, had left for her clearance on June 13, 2024, but tragically returned home lifeless.

According to a social media user tweeting from @softbaba24, who identified himself as a sibling of the deceased, Glory was allegedly raped and murdered in the Iyowa community area of Benin, Edo State. Her body was found close to her parents’ house after she had returned from school.

In a heartfelt plea on social media, the user called for justice for his younger sister, highlighting that she had just graduated and was only 22 years old. He recounted the harrowing details of her brutal attack and urged Nigerians and the police to assist in finding justice for their family.

The family has deposited Glory’s remains at the UBTH mortuary, with support from the Nigeria Police, Ekiadolor Division. They seek widespread support and action to ensure justice is served for their beloved daughter.
