The Ogun Command of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) reported a devastating accident on Thursday night, resulting in the death of a woman at the Dalemo area on the Lagos-Abeokuta Expressway. According to Uga, a truck with registration number XA 354 WDP was involved in the tragedy, which claimed the life of a female adult standing beside the road. The preliminary investigation revealed that the truck lost control due to excessive speeding, leading to the fatal collision.
The deceased victim’s body has been transported to Ifo General Hospital in Ogun. Uga used the opportunity to urge drivers to avoid reckless driving and emphasized the importance of regular vehicle maintenance, especially checking the functionality of the brake system before hitting the road.Expressing condolences, Uga commiserated with the family of the deceased and offered prayers for strength and fortitude during this difficult time.
