Vice President Shettima underscored the significant potential of Nasarawa state, encompassing solid minerals, agricultural resources, and the recent discovery of oil. He expressed the federal government’s commitment to collaborating with Nasarawa state in providing essential infrastructure and support for the well-being of its residents.
Highlighting President Ahmed Tinubu’s administration’s dedication to a developmental roadmap for rural communities nationwide, Shettima assured that the federal government would continue partnering with Nasarawa State and other communities to address infrastructural deficits comprehensively.
Addressing the local community, the Vice President urged them to take ownership of the newly inaugurated road, emphasizing its role in building a brighter future. He praised Governor Engr. Abdullahi Sule for his commitment to infrastructure development and acknowledged the fruitful collaboration between the state and federal governments on crucial projects.
Shettima emphasized that the road project was not merely about physical infrastructure but a means to unlock new opportunities for the people of Masaka and its surroundings. He emphasized the economic growth potential the road brings, particularly in the Karu local government area, strategically positioned near the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja.
Describing Karu as a burgeoning metropolis, Shettima predicted that the new road would enhance access to markets, job opportunities, and essential services, ultimately improving the lives of numerous residents. He commended Governor Sule for fulfilling promises made during the commissioning of the 248 Fuller Grand Luvu Housing Unit Estate in 2022, reinforcing the commitment to positive and transformative development in Nasarawa state.
