Fatal Electrocution: Thief Caught On Camera Stealing Transformer Cables In Edo State....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶
An unidentified man met his demise through electrocution while reportedly attempting to pilfer transformer cables in the Jattu community located in the Etsako West Local Government Area of Edo State.
According to an informant, the residents were startled to discover the lifeless body of the alleged thief suspended between two electric poles near a transformer on the morning of January 29, 2024.
Reports indicate that the victim had severed the cable beneath the transformer, set it aside, and then ascended the electric pole in an attempt to sever the four lengthy cables connecting the transformer to the low tension wire.
The source further mentioned that officials from the Benin Electricity Distribution Company (BEDC) arrived on the scene and removed the deceased’s body.
