During a recent speech at the PDP secretariat in Port Harcourt, Wike warned PDP governors against interfering in the affairs of Rivers State, even threatening to create chaos if any governor attempted to impose control over the party’s structures in the state.
Fayose, while speaking on Channels Television, asserted that any governor with a strong grip on their state has no reason to fear such threats. He emphasized that as a sitting governor, he had always been open and straightforward. He added, “If a governor says he will put fire in my state, it’s either I’m not strong or I’ve lost control at home.”
Fayose concluded by stressing the importance of strong leadership and maintaining control within one’s state to avoid external political threats.
