Oshoala, who participated in the entire 90-minute game, secured her first goal during the 80th minute and followed up with her second just two minutes later, in the 82nd minute.
During her goal celebration, the 29-year-old Nigerian striker lifted her jersey to reveal a shirt adorned with a picture of Mohbad. It’s worth noting that Mohbad, known for his popular songs “KPK (Ko Por Ke)” and “Feel Good,” passed away under controversial circumstances at the age of 27 on September 12, 2023. His death triggered a series of speculations, leading to the police exhuming his body for further investigation into the cause of his untimely demise.
After aiding FC Barcelona’s women’s team in their 6-1 victory over Granada, Asisat Oshoala shared a photo on her Instagram page, showing her tribute to Mohbad during her goal celebration. In the photo’s caption, the five-time African Woman Player of the Year wrote: “Double for Imole ⚽️⚽️…..keep resting young king 🙏🏾❤️ #LightBoy.”
With her two goals against Granada, Oshoala’s total stands at three goals in five appearances for FC Barcelona in the current season.
