Previously, the Kogi State branch of the Social Democratic Party (SDP) had sounded an alarm, alleging that three electoral officials were present at the state Government House, reconfiguring BVAS (Biometric Voter Authentication System) to favor a specific candidate.

Nonetheless, INEC, in a statement released on Saturday by the Chief Press Secretary to the INEC Chairman, Mr. Rotimi Oyekanmi, urged the public to disregard these reports, categorizing them as false information.

Consequently, Ajaka, as quoted by his campaign spokesperson, later retracted his earlier stance and affirmed his confidence in INEC’s ability to oversee fair and transparent elections.

Adejoh-Audu stated that the SDP candidate issued this apology during a meeting with party stakeholders in Abuja on Saturday. He reiterated the party’s faith in the reforms implemented by INEC.
