FCT Police Investigate Chilling Hotel Death Of Benue Girl After Disturbing Video Surfaces
The Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Police Command has launched an investigation into the circumstances surrounding a viral video showing a young woman found dead with her hands tied in a hotel room in the Gwarinpa area of Abuja.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶
In a statement released on Wednesday, the Command’s Public Relations Officer, Josephine Adeh, confirmed the video and identified the deceased as Aladi Offikwu Johnson, a native of Benue State.
She revealed that the Commissioner of Police, Ajao S. Adewale, has ordered a detailed investigation to determine the cause and nature of the incident.
Preliminary findings indicate that the victim checked into a hotel on 3rd Avenue, Gwarinpa, on June 16, 2025, accompanied by an unidentified male who later left the premises without her. The woman was found unresponsive by hotel staff during a routine check, prompting the alert to police authorities.
Adeh added that the Commissioner has called for calm, urging the public to allow investigators to conduct a thorough and uninterrupted probe.
This case adds to a troubling pattern of similar incidents in the capital, where victims—mostly women—are found dead under suspicious circumstances. The suspects, often believed to be ritualists, typically manage to flee undetected.
