Federal Government Initiates Teacher Recruitment For ‘Build-A-Thon’ Program

Scheduled to take place over four days in January 2024, the program anticipates the participation of 1,500 students from 150 schools across three locations: Owerri, Maiduguri, and Abeokuta.

Prospective teachers with a vision for education, a passion for teaching, and an enthusiasm for guiding the next generation of tech innovators in secondary schools are encouraged to apply. The ministry officially announced the call for applications on Thursday via X, and interested and qualified candidates can submit their applications on the program’s website.

The minister emphasized the significance of the Build-A-Thon initiative in promoting early technology adoption, shaping future innovation leaders. He outlined the program’s overarching goals, including showcasing innovative projects, recognizing achievements, fostering collaboration, inspiring future leaders, and promoting lifelong learning.
