This assurance was conveyed in a statement released by Tinubu’s Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga. Speaking to reporters on Friday after a special Juma’ah prayer session at the National Mosque in Abuja to mark his 73rd birthday, President Tinubu expressed gratitude to God for life and the privilege to serve.

“I feel good. I feel happy. I thank Almighty Allah, who has protected us and continues to answer our prayers,” said the President.

As he approaches his 73rd birthday on March 29, 2025, Tinubu emphasized that ensuring the safety and well-being of Nigerians remains his foremost priority, both in leadership and in prayers.

“We have prayed for our country. We prayed for the stability and peace of the nation. We prayed that Almighty Allah will safeguard our people and all citizens,” he stated.

Reflecting on the sermon, the President stressed the importance of hard work and prayers for national progress.

“The message for everyone is hard work. You work harder, and you pray harder. That’s the motivation I drew from today’s sermon,” Tinubu remarked.

“We thank God Almighty that at this stage, we remain dedicated and committed to the task at hand.”

The special Juma’ah prayer was conducted by distinguished Islamic clerics, including Dr. Abdulkadir Salman Solagberu, the Malami Ubandoma of the Ilorin Emirate, who pledged continued prayers for the President’s health, strength, and wisdom in leading the nation.

Dr. Solagberu emphasized that prayers for peace and stability are crucial for the nation’s development and collective well-being.

Additionally, the Imam of the National Mosque, Prof. Muhammad Kabir Adam, expressed gratitude to the President and First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, for their charitable support during Ramadan.

“Mr. President, Allah is with you, and you will succeed,” said Prof. Adam, urging Muslims to continue praying for Nigeria and extending goodwill beyond the fasting period.

The prayer session was attended by prominent government officials, including Vice President Kashim Shettima, Deputy Senate President Barau Jibrin, National Security Adviser Nuhu Ribadu, ministers, service chiefs, and members of the President’s family.
