“Stella Okotete is unequivocally a deserving candidate for a ministerial appointment,” Mimi asserted confidently.

She expressed strong optimism that Stella Okotete would make a robust and positive impact as a minister, pointing to her history of commendable performance in previous public roles.

Furthermore, Peter emphasized the significance of Okotete’s confirmation, emphasizing her influential role as the former national women leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and her active engagement in advocating for the Renewed Hope agenda 2023.

Peter stated, “The Renewed Hope agenda has promised to integrate women and youth into politics, and Stella perfectly embodies the essence of a capable young woman.”

“Incorporating Okotete into the ministerial list submitted to the Senate initially brought elation to Nigerian women. Confirming her as a minister will fortify her commitment to the well-being of Nigerian women.”

Peter also pointed out the opposition faced by Okotete’s nomination, attributing it to fears that some individuals have about the progress that Nigerian women could potentially achieve.

She speculated that these critics may be anxious about the potential of women outperforming them in office and spotlighting their shortcomings as men.
