Femi Otedola Opens Up On His Prayer Life, Reveals How Often Dangote Prays

Nigerian businessman Femi Otedola has opened up about his personal prayer life while speaking about his business relationship with fellow billionaire Aliko Dangote.

According to Bush Radio Academy, Otedola made the disclosure during a speech at the Dangote Refinery, where he recalled four significant occasions when he turned to God in prayer.

The businessman said the occasions included the period when his father contested the Lagos State governorship election, his financial crisis and bankruptcy in 2008, his visit to the Dangote Refinery in 2017, and the commissioning of the refinery.

Otedola explained that he typically turns to God when he needs a favour, contrasting his approach with that of Dangote, whom he described as one of the most religious people he has encountered.

“Aliko is probably one of the religious people I’ve come across with. I only talk to God when I need a favour,” Otedola said.

During his speech, Otedola also recalled his business partnership with Dangote, stating that they teamed up in 2007 and acquired interests in the Port Harcourt and Kaduna refineries, with their group holding a 20 per cent stake.

He further alleged that the refineries later suffered setbacks as a result of sabotage by certain individuals.

Otedola’s remarks at the refinery have since drawn attention, particularly his account of the moments that prompted him to seek divine intervention and his comments contrasting his prayer habits with those of Dangote.
