FG And States Urged To Declare State Of Emergency To Combat Rising Drug Abuse....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶
The Nigeria Governors Spouses Forum (NGSF) has urged both the federal and state governments to declare a state of emergency on substance abuse and illicit drug trafficking in Nigeria. This call, made in a communique signed by Ambassador Olufolake Abdulrasaq, the Chairperson of the Forum and the First Lady of Kwara State, seeks to mobilize resources for effectively addressing the ongoing pandemic.
This plea comes in the aftermath of a two-day Drug Prevention Treatment and Care (DPTC) training organized by the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) in Abuja, specifically designed for the wives of state governors. The NGSF highlights the importance of concerted efforts at both the federal and state levels to combat the challenges posed by drug abuse and trafficking, emphasizing the need for immediate action through the declaration of a state of emergency.
