Police Arrest Two For Raping 13-Year-Old Girl In Gombe

The Gombe State Police Command has apprehended two individuals in connection with the sexual assault of a 13-year-old girl on a farm located in the Funakaye Local Government Area of the state………CONTINUE READING

ASP Mahid Muazu Abubakar, the spokesperson for the command, revealed this information on February 13, 2024, during the public presentation of the suspects, who were also joined by others arrested for various offenses within the state.

The arrested individuals, identified as Yayaji Muhammad, 24, and Muhammad Tukur Barau, 20, both residents of Kurungu Village in Kwami, were taken into custody following a report lodged by the victim’s father.

“On 08/02/2024 at about 02 pm, a complaint was received via Malam Jauro at Bajoga Division that on the 07/02/2024 at about 02:10 pm, the above-mentioned suspects conspired among themselves, attacked and threatened his 13-year-old daughter, residing at the same address, in a farm,” Abubakar stated.

“The suspects forcefully engaged in inappropriate conduct with her successively, and the case is currently under investigation.”

ASP Abubakar further noted that the suspects would face charges upon the completion of the ongoing investigation.
