In a statement issued on Monday by DCI KT Udo, the Service’s Public Relations Officer, NIS described Bobrisky as a person of interest in connection with recent public concerns.

The statement read: “In line with our commitment to border security, the Nigeria Immigration Service intercepted Okuneye Idris Olanrewaju, also known as Bobrisky, at the Seme Border while attempting to exit the country. He is currently undergoing interrogation and will be handed over to the appropriate authorities for further action.”

Naija News reported that Bobrisky was apprehended during passport checks on Monday, October 21. An immigration source indicated that he was arrested at midnight, held until the morning, and then transferred to the NIS’s Lagos zone in Ikeja.
