PDP Governors To Hold Key Talks In Abuja Today, Tuesday 22Governors elected under the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) are set to hold a crucial meeting in Abuja on Tuesday, October 22. Earlier today, the Reconciliation Committee convened at the NEC Hall in the PDP National Secretariat to finalize its report for submission to the Umar Damagum-led NWC. The NWC is anticipated to review the report before presenting it to the NEC for approval.

Oyinlola addressed journalists following a meeting with the PDP National Assembly Caucus, stating, “As part of our assignment, we planned to engage with National Assembly members to gather insights on the challenges facing our party politically. We’ve had productive discussions and believe we’ve compiled suggestions to help unify and strengthen our party.”

He emphasized that unity is essential for electoral success, saying, “For any party to enter a political battle and win, it must be united. That’s our goal.”

Regarding the upcoming Ondo Governorship election, Oyinlola noted, “The National Reconciliation Committee has toured the South-West, and the Ondo election has been a key focus. We are developing our strategies.”

When asked about the reconciliation process, he clarified, “We are addressing any internal disagreements within the party.” On rumors of potential suspensions, he referred to them as speculation, adding, “We’ll discuss further with the NWC tomorrow.”

Additionally, the PDP-GF meeting will consider whether to proceed with the scheduled NEC meeting or set a new date, as well as outline possible agenda items.
