Speaking in Jalingo, Taraba State, during a town hall meeting with stakeholders in preparation for a protest against hunger and economic difficulties, Maigari emphasized that the president has instructed the release of essential supplies to governors across all political parties, including PDP, APC, and APGA.

Maigari encouraged Nigerians to hold their governors accountable and inquire about the distribution of these resources. He noted that the new minimum wage has also been approved as part of the government’s efforts to mitigate immediate issues while longer-term economic reforms are being developed.

Addressing concerns about food shortages, he reassured that the federal government is taking action. He also urged Taraba youths and protestors to remain focused on the core issues and avoid being exploited by those seeking to incite division. Maigari affirmed that while the government supports peaceful protests, they should be conducted with patience and without falling prey to divisive agendas.
