The Nigeria Communications Commission (NCC) office in Kano was set on fire by a group of armed youths who also disrupted major roads, causing significant unrest. The newly built NCC office was slated for inauguration next week.
In addition to the NCC office arson, the Hotoro area saw businesses shuttered, and both a filling station and a Rufaida shop were set ablaze.
Residents are calling for urgent intervention from authorities to restore order and safeguard lives and property. Isa Musa, a resident of Charanchi in Gwale Local Government Area, condemned the situation as a severe threat to safety and urged the police to increase their presence to manage the escalating crisis.
