Speaking to reporters after inspecting the inundated Isheri community, the governor assured the affected residents that his administration is prepared to swiftly address the situation.
He also announced plans for a comprehensive assessment aimed at providing a permanent solution to the flooding issue in the area.
Governor Abiodun emphasized the urgent need for intervention, expressing his concern over the situation and his commitment to addressing it as an emergency. He noted that the state government is collaborating with the federal government to tackle the crisis effectively.
In addition, the governor stated that he plans to prioritize the flood-affected area and ensure quick relief. He has informed relevant officials at various levels of government, including the vice president and the president, about the emergency situation.
