Governor Sanwo-Olu made these remarks during a courtesy visit by a delegation from Nigerians in Diaspora Commission (NiDCOM), led by Hon. Abike Dabiri-Erewa.
The delegation included notable figures such as Dr. Julius Marcus Garvey Jnr., son of the renowned civil rights leader Marcus Garvey, and David Anderson, the Jogbe of Badagry kingdom.
The visit aimed to express gratitude to Governor Sanwo-Olu and the Lagos State government for the successful organization of this year’s Diaspora Festival, known as the ‘Door of Return,’ in Badagry.
This festival was designed to help Black Diasporas reconnect with their Nigerian and African roots and took place in the historic city of Badagry, Lagos.
