The Governance Advisory Council (GAC), the apex decision-making body of the APC in the state, granted its endorsement for Jokomba’s appointment, according to WesternPost’s report.
Adeola Jokomba, who served as a Council Chairman for two consecutive terms, previously aspired to represent the Ikorodu Constituency in the Lagos State House of Assembly. However, he faced challenges in securing the party’s nomination.
Having held the position of Ikorodu North Local Council Development Area Chairman for two terms, Jokomba’s background also includes being the Vice Chairman of Conference 57 Lagos State, an association comprising Council Chairmen within Lagos State.
Jokomba’s educational journey encompasses a Bachelor’s degree in Health and Social Care from Thames Valley University. He then pursued further studies, obtaining a Master’s in Clinical Psychology from Western Ville University in San Diego, California, USA.
Currently, Jokomba is pursuing a Doctorate in Social Work as a student at Lagos State University, situated in Ojo.
