On Tuesday night, suspected bandits reportedly shot and killed Babangida Abubakar Sadeeq, a former general manager of the Jigawa State Housing Authority, along with two others. The incident occurred on Yalwandamai road as Sadeeq was en route to his hometown of Birnin Kudu after leaving his farm in Dutse.

According to a resident interviewed by BUSHRADIOGIST, the late Babangida had visited a village near Yalwandamai to meet with his farm workers shortly after leaving his farm in Dutse. While returning, one of the individuals in his vehicle noticed the approach of unfamiliar persons a few meters away and promptly alerted Babangida.

In an attempt to assess the situation, Babangida, who was driving the vehicle, switched on the full lights. However, as soon as the strangers noticed the illumination, they opened fire on the moving vehicle. The victims, including Babangida, were rushed to the Federal Medical Center in Birnin Kudu, where a medical doctor confirmed their deaths.

The Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Lawan Shiisu, confirmed the incident and assured that efforts were underway to apprehend the culprits. The motive behind the attack remains unclear, and investigations are ongoing.
