Hon. Paul, who represented the Okura State Constituency in the 8th Kogi State Assembly, had previously stepped down from his position as Deputy Speaker due to health concerns. He was succeeded by Hon. Comfort Ojoma Nwuchiola, the representative for the Ibaji State Constituency.

In reaction to the sad news, the Speaker of the Kogi State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Aliyu Umar Yusuf, extended his condolences to the late lawmaker’s family. His message was shared through a statement issued by his Chief Press Secretary, Yabagi Mohammed.

Describing Hon. Paul as a humble, disciplined, and committed legislator, Speaker Yusuf commended his dedication to fostering teamwork and unity within Kogi State. He also lauded Paul’s efforts in championing people-oriented legislation aimed at advancing the state’s development.

The Speaker further praised the late lawmaker’s unwavering faith and strong family values, noting that he was deeply committed to serving the people beyond religious divides. Rt. Hon. Yusuf concluded by offering prayers for strength and comfort for Hon. Enema Paul’s family, as well as for the members of the current and past assemblies who mourn the loss of this dedicated public servant.
