Former Welfare Secretary of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Alhaja Ramota Bankole, has passed away in Mecca while performing a Hajj pilgrimage in Saudi Arabia. Alhaja Ramota Bankole, a prominent leader among the Lagos APC women from the Epe Division, was confirmed deceased by Mr. Seye Oladejo, the Publicity Secretary of the party in the state. Mr. Oladejo described her as a dedicated member of the party and expressed deep sadness over her sudden demise.
In his statement, Mr. Oladejo said, “Her death is deeply shocking and unfortunate. She was a committed and seasoned party leader. The late Alhaja Ramota Bankole was renowned for her role in mobilizing and encouraging women’s active involvement in politics. May her soul rest in peace.”
