The Ogun State Police Command has detained four individuals for their involvement in separate theft cases. The suspects are accused of stealing a motorcycle valued at N630,000 from the Imeruro area in Atan-Ijebu, Ijebu-North-East Local Government Area, and for burglarizing a residence in the Warewa area of Obafemi-Owode Local Government Area, where they stole electrical equipment, including cables and solar panels…..CONTINUE READING 

On Sunday, the police arrested Bamidele Ogunbowale, 30, for allegedly absconding with a motorcycle he had purportedly purchased from Olakunle Olagoke on an installment plan. Olagoke reported that after Ogunbowale acquired the motorcycle, he severed contact and disappeared, prompting a police search that led to Ogunbowale’s arrest in Atan-Ijebu.

In a separate incident on the same day, Edet Esin, Comfort Esin, and Victor Edet were apprehended for breaking into Olabosipo Olasehinde’s two-bedroom apartment in Mokore. The trio is accused of stealing an HP laptop, a solar panel, conduit pipes, and other electrical components. The burglary was reported by Odegbile Idowu, who noted that the suspects had previously been charged for vandalizing the same property but were later released and subsequently committed the theft.

Ogun State Police spokesperson Omolola Odutola confirmed the arrests and noted that investigations are ongoing. The suspects are expected to face court proceedings after a thorough investigation, with the court scheduled to reconvene on October 10, 2024.
