The entertainer addressed the issue during a livestream on Monday night while hanging out with fellow content creators as they sold akara on the roadside.
Speaking in a humorous tone, Carter Efe reacted to reports that the university was looking for him over the controversy. He jokingly remarked that anyone from the institution hoping to meet him would first have to pay ₦100,000 for a ticket before gaining access.
He also hinted that he and his team planned to visit the university in the near future.
The comedian’s comments followed widespread reactions to a certificate he posted on social media, which he presented as proof that he graduated from Babcock University with a degree in Biochemistry and outstanding academic results.
The document quickly attracted scrutiny, with several social media users questioning its authenticity after noticing discrepancies, particularly in the grading classification stated on the certificate.
In response to the debate, Babcock University distanced itself from the document, stating that the academic classification shown on the certificate is not one used by the institution.
The university also cautioned members of the public against accepting certificates falsely attributed to the school, a development that has fueled further discussion online about the authenticity of the document shared by the skit maker.
