Olujuwon Obasanjo, son of former Nigerian President Olusegun Obasanjo, has declared his support for President Bola Tinubu’s re-election bid ahead of the 2027 general election.

Olujuwon made his position public during a visit to the headquarters of the PBAT Door-to-Door Movement in Abuja on Wednesday, November 4, 2026. He was received by the movement’s National Coordinator, Sunday Asuku.

According to Bush Radio Academy, Olujuwon was appointed Special Adviser on Political Affairs to the movement, a development that comes as political groups intensify efforts to mobilise support ahead of the 2027 presidential election.

Speaking during the visit, he described the appointment as an honour and privilege, commending the organisation for its grassroots mobilisation, community engagement and efforts to publicise the activities of the Tinubu administration.

He disclosed that he had been monitoring the movement’s activities and was impressed by its commitment to building support for the president.

Olujuwon said Tinubu had made a promising start to his administration, adding that Nigerians, particularly young people, should support the ongoing reforms and ensure continuity in governance.

He also pointed to improvements in salary payments, infrastructure development and investment opportunities as some of the areas where he believes the country has made progress under the current administration.

The former president’s son maintained that the gains recorded under Tinubu should be sustained, urging Nigerians to support the president’s ambition to secure a second term in office.

His declaration adds to the growing political activities and alliances taking shape ahead of the 2027 general election, as supporters of the president continue to organise campaigns for his re-election.
