Fresh Twist In Diddy’s Prison Sentence As Release Date Is Changed Again

Sean “Diddy” Combs’ projected release date from federal prison has been moved again, with the latest records indicating that the music mogul could leave custody earlier than previously scheduled.

According to Federal Bureau of Prisons records cited in reports, Combs is now scheduled for release from FCI Fort Dix in New Jersey on January 21, 2028.

The latest adjustment comes after his projected release date was changed several times. His release had previously been moved from February 23, 2028, to January 24, 2028, before later appearing to shift back to February 20, 2028. His original release date had been listed as June 2028.

According to Bush Radio Academy, the changes to Combs’ projected release date come after he was reportedly involved in an altercation with another inmate during his incarceration.

Reports attributed to TMZ stated that Combs became involved in a confrontation with another prisoner after an alleged exchange of insults. The two men reportedly pushed each other before prison staff intervened and separated them.

Combs was subsequently placed in solitary confinement, according to reports, although details surrounding his confinement were not publicly disclosed by the Federal Bureau of Prisons.

The agency previously said that, for privacy, safety and security reasons, it does not disclose information concerning individual inmates’ conditions of confinement, housing assignments or whether a particular prisoner is the subject of allegations, investigations or sanctions.

Combs was sentenced to 50 months in federal prison after being convicted in July 2025 on two counts related to transportation for prostitution. He was acquitted of two counts of sex trafficking by force, fraud or coercion and a racketeering conspiracy charge.

The rapper and music executive was initially held at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn, New York, before being transferred to FCI Fort Dix following his sentencing.

According to Bush Radio Academy, the January 21, 2028 date represents the latest projected release date listed in federal prison records, although projected release dates can be subject to further changes during an inmate’s sentence.
