The former presidential candidate of the African Action Congress made the remark after a Federal High Court in Abuja admitted him to bail in an ongoing case.

Justice Mohammed Umar, who presided over the matter, ordered that Sowore provide two sureties with matching bail sums of ₦200 million each.

The court further ruled that one of the sureties must be a traditional ruler from Sowore’s community, while the second must own landed property within Abuja.

As part of the bail conditions, the activist was also directed to surrender his international passport to the court through the Deputy Registrar.

Reacting to the ruling, Sowore insisted that the conditions would not deter his political activism, declaring that no individual or institution could stop what he described as Nigeria’s ongoing revolution.

He also alleged that the authorities had long been interested in obtaining his passport, adding that he would address the issue when the appropriate time comes.

Sowore was previously granted bail on self-recognisance in December after being arraigned by the Department of State Services on a five-count charge relating to alleged cybercrime.

At the time, Justice Umar directed him to refrain from making public statements that could be interpreted as inciting Nigerians against the administration of Bola Tinubu while the case remains before the court.
