The governor delivered the message in his New Year address, following the crossover service at the Government House Chapel of Everlasting Grace in Port Harcourt.
Expressing optimism for 2026, Fubara said the year would bring renewed prosperity for Rivers State and its people, noting that his administration enters the new year with “renewed strength and confidence.”
Reflecting on the past two years, he acknowledged the challenges faced but maintained a hopeful outlook. “Those who place their trust in God will not be put to shame,” Fubara said, underlining that faith, not “the instruments of war,” guides his leadership.
He urged citizens to remain calm and disregard rumors of political unrest, assuring that his government remains committed to the state’s development. “Governance anchored on faith, perseverance, and service to the people” remains our guiding principle, he affirmed.
Acknowledging that some expectations have yet to be met, the governor promised that 2026 would be a year of growth and transformation for Rivers State.
Fubara also expressed confidence in the nation’s leadership, predicting that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu would secure victory in the 2027 presidential election.
