This development was made public in an official announcement signed by Kabir Akanbi, Secretary of the LPPC and Chief Registrar of the Supreme Court, on Tuesday, June 17.

The shortlist, which precedes the final interview stage, comprises 57 advocate applicants and 15 academic candidates, all of whom met the selection criteria set by the committee.

In line with its standard procedure, the LPPC has invited the general public to submit comments on the competence, integrity, and reputation of the shortlisted individuals.

“All complaints must be supported by a sworn affidavit, either before a superior court of record in Nigeria or a Notary Public, and must be submitted in 20 copies,” the notice stated.

The committee emphasized that inclusion on the shortlist does not guarantee the conferment of the SAN title. Final selections will be made after thorough assessments and interviews.
