Full List: Rivers Administrator Names Fresh Board Chairmen In Strategic Overhaul

The announcement was contained in a statement issued on Wednesday by the Secretary to the State Government, Prof. Ibibia Worika.

For the Rivers State University Teaching Hospital, former Commissioner for Health, Dr. Sampson Parker, was named Chairman, while Prof. Chizindu Alikor retained his position as Chief Medical Director.

In the Rivers State Waste Management Agency, former Ikwerre Local Government Chairman and ally of the FCT Minister, Nyesom Wike, Dr. Samuel Nwanosike, was appointed Chairman, with Wokoma Amakiri as Managing Director.

Other appointments include:

• Rivers State Universal Basic Education Commission – Samuel Ogeh, Chairman

• Rivers State Senior Secondary Education Board – Tony Egwurugwu, Chairman

• Rivers State Internal Revenue Service – Israel Egbunefu, Chairman

• Rivers State Contributory Health Protection Programme – Prof. Princewill Chike, Chairman, with Dr. Vetty Agala continuing as Executive Secretary

• Rivers State Microfinance Agency – Prof. Adolphus Toby, Chairman, alongside five newly appointed members.

The statement confirmed that the newly appointed board members will be sworn in by the Administrator of Rivers State.
