Funke Akindele Reacts As Controversial Pasuma Video Sparks Online Uproar

The controversy erupted after an user shared a video captioned, “Moment Funke Akindele snubbed Pasuma in public. This is not looking good at all,” suggesting the actress deliberately ignored the singer.

The clip, which quickly gained traction online, appeared to show Akindele walking past Pasuma during a crowded indoor gathering.

Responding on Sunday, Akindele dismissed the claim, insisting there was no disrespect or tension between her and the Fuji star.

“Snub? Hell no. Stop the negativity pls. I saw him, greeted him, danced with him. Pasuma is my egbon. Pls you all should stop this evil,” she wrote.

While the viral clip captured only a brief moment of Pasuma seated and looking at his phone, a longer version of the video told a different story.

In the extended footage, Akindele was seen warmly greeting Pasuma, smiling, and interacting with him before moving on to other guests.

The event was held in honour of actress Fathia Balogun and attracted several celebrities, including TikTok personality Ashabi Olose.

Other videos from the gathering also showed Akindele mingling freely with guests.

Supporters of the actress circulated the full footage online, arguing the viral clip had been selectively edited to create a false impression.

The clarification comes weeks after another viral moment involving Akindele and actress Toyin Abraham at a movie premiere also triggered debate on social media.
