The families gathered at the Oodua House in Ikeja, where the group hosted its annual commemoration to honour members who lost their lives in active service. The event, described by organisers as a solemn but uplifting tradition, ensured every family in attendance left with tangible support.
The OPC leader and Aare Ona Kakanfo of Yorubaland, Iba Gani Adams, expressed gratitude for what he described as divine preservation that enabled another edition of the remembrance gathering to hold. Speaking through the organisation’s National Administrative Secretary and Baarejiroro Aare Ona Kakanfo, Chief Dauda Asikolaiye, the OPC leadership reaffirmed its commitment to sustaining welfare programmes for the dependants of deceased members.
The organisation noted that recognising and supporting the families of its fallen heroes remains a core responsibility, emphasising that their sacrifices will not be forgotten and their loved ones will continue to receive the attention they deserve.
