Meanwhile, Atiku’s Special Assistant on Public Communication, Phrank Shaibu, has pushed back against President Bola Tinubu’s recent remarks labeling opposition figures as “political IDPs.” In a Tuesday statement, Shaibu emphasized that Atiku, along with other former governors like Peter Obi, Rotimi Amaechi, and Nasir El-Rufai, are uniting with the shared mission of rescuing Nigeria.

Shaibu went further to criticize Tinubu’s administration, calling it a cabal of “urban bandits” who seized power through manipulation. He predicted that due to widespread poverty, hunger, and economic hardship, the ruling APC would be rejected by Nigerians in the 2027 elections.
