Gbajabiamila insisted that the elimination of the fuel subsidy is an essential component of Tinubu’s reform agenda, ensuring that the positive outcomes will become evident in the near future.
Speaking to reporters after casting his vote in the House of Representatives by-election at Polling Unit 014, Ward 08, Elizabeth Fowler Memorial School in the Surulere area of Lagos State, the former lawmaker stated, “The President has no other priority than addressing the issues of insecurity and economic hardship.”
He continued, “Tinubu is dedicated to resolving these problems. He inherited a multitude of challenges, and we’ve been grappling with these issues for years. I believe we have a leader who will effectively address these issues.”
Gbajabiamila, who vacated his seat in the House of Assembly upon being appointed Tinubu’s Chief of Staff, served as the Speaker of the House of Representatives from 2019 to 2023. He secured re-election for the sixth consecutive term during the National Assembly election on February 25, 2023, representing the Surulere 1 federal constituency.
