Gehgeh Warns VeryDarkMan Over Power Business, Says Poor Electricity Could Become His Biggest Advantage
Popular financial expert and social media personality, Gehgeh, has criticised social media activist VeryDarkMan over his decision to venture into the power bank and power station business, warning that the investment could place him in a controversial position amid Nigeria’s persistent electricity challenges.
Gehgeh made the remarks following reports that a 40-foot container reportedly containing power banks and power stations imported by VeryDarkMan had arrived.
According to Bush Radio Academy, Gehgeh argued that the activist could eventually be seen as benefiting from the country’s poor electricity supply because frequent power outages may increase demand for the products he intends to sell.
He suggested that VeryDarkMan should have considered investing in the construction sector instead, arguing that his large online following and public influence could have helped him secure government contracts if he had pursued that line of business.
Gehgeh maintained that the power-related business could create a situation in which the activist’s commercial interests appear to conflict with his longstanding criticism of government failures, particularly concerning electricity supply.
“If there is light, you may not be able to sell your power banks and power stations,” he said.
He further advised VeryDarkMan to consider selling the products to businessman B-Lord and returning his attention to activism and what he described as online policing.
Gehgeh’s comments have raised questions about the relationship between business interests and social activism, particularly whether an activist can operate a business connected to a problem he frequently criticises without facing public scrutiny.
