Tiwa Savage Responds To Troll Questioning Her African Baddie Identity
Nigerian music star Tiwa Savage has responded confidently to a social media user who criticised her decision to describe herself as an “African Baddie,” questioning whether a woman in her 40s should use the title.
The exchange began after the social media user took to the internet to mock the singer over her choice of identity, suggesting that the description was inappropriate for someone around 40 years old.
According to Bush Radio Academy, the critic wrote, “African baddie at 40… this one no serious,” prompting a sharp response from the award-winning singer.
Savage, who disclosed that she is 46 years old, dismissed the criticism and expressed confidence in her appearance, financial success and music career.
Reacting to the comment, she wrote: “46, fine, paid, unbothered and dropping my super hottttt record ‘African Baddie’ on Friday. What exactly is the problem, boy?😂 #AfricanBaddie.”
The singer’s response came as she announced plans to release her new record, titled African Baddie, on Friday, making it clear that she had no intention of allowing criticism about her age to affect her confidence.
In a related development, Tiwa Savage recently reacted to a request by popular TikTok personalities Peller and Jarvis, who asked her to become the godmother of their unborn child during a livestream.
The request reportedly came during a conversation between the singer and the social media couple, who are expecting a child together.
Responding, Savage said she would need to pray and seek God’s approval before accepting the responsibility, explaining that she believes important life decisions should align with God’s will.
