God, Please Don’t Let Death Separate Us’ – Ashabi Simple Opens Up On Fears Over Portable

Singer Portable’s fourth wife, Nollywood actress Ashabi Simple (real name Omobolarinde Akinyanju), has shared an emotional message about her marriage.

In a heartfelt post on Instagram, Ashabi—who is the mother of at least two of Portable’s children—expressed her deep affection for the singer while also revealing her recent struggles.

Their relationship first became public during the naming ceremony of their child, where Portable openly confirmed their union. Since then, Ashabi has frequently spoken about their bond, often describing Portable as her love and “a man with grace.”

In her latest message, she wrote about cherishing every moment with him, admitting she has been feeling weak and tired. She then prayed to God not to let death come between them.

She wrote:
“With you, every moment is a gift. Lately, I’m just weak and tired. God, I’m pleading, don’t separate us with untimely death. I love us so much.”

Ashabi previously went viral after posting a video where some local men referred to her as Portable’s wife, a title she admitted often followed her even when she didn’t publicly embrace it.

She has also raised concerns in the past about health issues—particularly sexually transmitted infections—after news broke that Portable had married another woman.
