No Evidence!’ – IPOB Dismisses Police Claim Of Destroyed Camp In Anambra

The Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) has rejected claims by the Nigeria Police Force that its security outfit, the Eastern Security Network (ESN), had a camp dismantled in Anambra State.

Police had earlier announced that its operatives destroyed a suspected ESN base in Aguluezechukwu, Aguata Local Government Area, alleging links to the separatist group.

However, in a statement issued on Thursday, IPOB’s spokesperson, Emma Powerful, described the allegation as false and misleading.

“We have no camp for the police to dismantle in Anambra or anywhere else,” the statement read.

‘No Evidence Against Us’

The pro-Biafra group maintained that security agencies have failed to provide any credible proof linking IPOB to the alleged camps.

“No evidence has been presented to show that the said camps security agencies often associate with IPOB actually belong to the group,” the statement added.

IPOB further challenged the police to make such evidence public or present it in court, stressing that it was even willing to sponsor independent investigations to the South-East to uncover the truth.

The statement concluded:
“Let it be known: IPOB remains whiter than white. No amount of propaganda can taint our cause, which is rooted in justice, self-determination, and truth.”
