Gov Eno Appoints Six New Judges To The High CourtThe Governor of Akwa Ibom State, Umo Eno, has officially sworn in six newly appointed judges to the State High Court, reaffirming his commitment to ensuring the safety and security of the state’s citizens.

The newly sworn-in judges are Umohandi Winifred, Ekanem James, Essien Iwakowo, Morrison Henry, Ntekim Ekpo, and Eddie Julius. They were inaugurated on Monday, with Governor Eno emphasizing the importance of their roles in enhancing the efficiency of the judicial system.

Governor Eno expressed confidence that the addition of these judges would accelerate criminal trials and ensure that punishments are administered in accordance with the law. He stated that this move aligns with his administration’s determination to uphold the rule of law and maintain a secure environment for both residents and visitors.

“In our effort to ensure that Akwa Ibom State remains safe and secure for all, I am pleased to swear in these six new High Court judges as recommended by the National Judicial Council. With their addition, we expect quicker criminal trials and just punishments in line with the law,” Governor Eno wrote on his X handle.

He also congratulated the newly appointed judges, acknowledging their professional competence and judicial track record, and expressed hope that they would continue to positively influence the state’s judicial system.
