Gov Okpebholo Makes Surprising Revelation: I Started Casting Out Demons At 17

Edo State Governor, Monday Okpebholo, has revealed that he became involved in spiritual activities from a young age, saying he started casting out demons when he was around 17 or 18 years old.

According to Bush Radio Academy, the governor made the disclosure during a church service at The Votage Church, where he reflected on his early experiences and his encounters with issues he described as spiritual battles and cultism.

Addressing young people at the service, Okpebholo said seeing youths gathered in the presence of God reminded him of his own journey as a teenager.

“When I see young ones standing in the presence of God, I remembered at 17, 18, I’ve also started casting out demons,” the governor said.

Okpebholo added that his experiences as a young man had given him an understanding of some of the challenges confronting young people, particularly insecurity and cultism.

“Fighting insecurities, especially cultism, is not a new thing to me. It is something that has been happening,” he said.

The governor also referenced the influence of the late Archbishop Benson Idahosa while speaking about his spiritual background and the experiences that shaped him.

The church’s lead pastor, who also addressed the gathering, described Okpebholo’s visit as an opportunity to appreciate his commitment to the people and pray for the progress of Edo State.

The pastor further stressed the importance of leaders seeking spiritual guidance while encouraging continued efforts toward peace, stability and development across the state.
